Library Story Time with Miss Military Star

Join National Miss Military Star, Danielle Penny, for a Veteran’s Day themed read-aloud story time featuring the book “Veterans, Heroes in our Neighborhood” by Valerie Pfundstein. Following the story presentation, children will have the opportunity to color thank you cards for the veterans at the New Jersey Veterans’ Memorial Home.

Miss Military Star is a national service organization created to promote, support and celebrate our veteran and active-duty service men and women, as well as their families through volunteer service and community involvement. In addition to her duties as Miss Military Star, Danielle is an advocate for literacy and recently founded the non-profit “ABC for Literacy” to facilitate book access and ownership among children of all socio-economic backgrounds.
