Author Renate LeDuc will be here to discuss and sell copies of her book “For The Love of Jeremy.” This is a memoir that is inspired by the loss of her son. The story is her family’s experience with mental Illness and how it intersects with suicide and substance use disorder. As Bipolar Disorder affects one member in each of three generations, join her in searching for light through the darkness of this journey. Sometimes we need to find the gifts of grief if we are going to survive it.

Renate LeDuc has a B.S. in Education and Psychology from East Stroudsburg University. She retired in 2011 from the Social Work field working with Child Protective Services. After retirement Renate was a substitute teacher and a facilitator for Chikd Assault Prevention in the schools. She currently volunteers as a Field Advocate for AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) and as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist at a local Recovery Community Center. She is also involved in advocacy for Mental Health, Suicide, Addiction and Fentanyl Awareness. She hopes to help others by telling her story.
