Logos and Labels: the Fundamentals of Graphic Design

Learn all about how to create a logo or label for your business or brand. Lorien will provide an overview of the history, impact, and fundamentals of graphic design, using real life examples and a hands-on exercise in effective design. Special attention will be given to the current climate for professional designers, with suggestions for those interested in pursuing a career in the field.

Lorien Babajian has over 25 years of experience as a graphic designer, primarily in the music industry. She has designed packaging, advertising, and promotional materials for multiple Grammy-nominated artists around the world, and her work has appeared in most major industry publications. Lorien studied at Pratt Institute in New York, and is currently the Art Director at Shanachie Entertainment, one of the oldest and largest independent record labels.
