The Giving Collection
Your family has the opportunity to sponsor a book in the library’s Children’s collection! Choose a book from our Amazon Wish List to donate to the library. When we receive your book, we’ll put your child’s (or children’s, or family’s) name on a special bookplate as a thank you! This is a wonderful way for you and your family to have an immediate, lasting impact on the Hackettstown Public Library.
Read Down Your Fines
Do you have fines from overdue books?! No problem! Read here in the library, earn “Book Bucks” and then apply them to your library fines. It’s easy! Just sign in with any library staff member, so your reading can be timed. For every 15 minutes you read, you will receive one dollar in “Book Bucks”. You can read magazines, books, newspapers, or textbooks, just as long as you sign in first. You can even read to a sibling! Remember that Book Bucks can only be used for overdue charges, and not to pay for a lost item. Children must be able to read to reduce their fines. Parents are no longer able to read to the child and/or children.
