In this program, participants will learn about how the war began, what role the Marine Corps played in it, and the fighting methods used during this war. A museum educator will also show some of our replicated artifacts here at the museum, from World War I. This is a great opportunity to virtually explore our World War I Gallery and to learn more about the important role that the Marine Corps played in World War I.

Madeline Fanta has been a Distance Learning Specialist at the National Museum of the Marine Corps for four years. She presents engaging virtual tours that bring Marine Corps history to life for students, educators, and audiences across the country. Madeline holds a deep, lifelong passion for history, especially military history, and is dedicated to making the stories of Marines accessible, meaningful, and inspiring for all learners.
