This was the beginning of the end of combat in New Jersey but not without cost. Hannah Caldwell was shot through the window of the Presbyterian parsonage by a red coated soldier; her husband the Reverend James Caldwell was murdered by a Continental soldier, creating a 250-year-old “cold case.” All of this took place while Washington watched from a hill in Millburn, New Jersey.
This event is being held at Riverwalk Village at House of the Good Shepherd and on Zoom.
Zoom details will be emailed out to registrants on the day of the program.
