Yoli will read and talk about different poems. Following the reading, participants will be invited to join in and write. There will be a brief writing session and as time allows, volunteers may read their work in progress, which encourages accepting written work without judgment. The workshop will close with participants creating a group poem, promoting shared exploration and experiences.

This program is part of the “Art and Craft of Writing” series.

This program is sponsored by the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Division.

Yoli Worth is a writer and poet whose writing examines the human condition. Yoli’s writing brings readers in through the depths of inquiry and observation. Graduate of the Newhouse School at Syracuse University, she was also editor-in-chief of the university’s literary magazine, Verbal Seduction. She is a frequent participant of poetry readings. She is currently in her first year of a self-directed MFA in which she is studying poetry and writing through books, film, music, podcasts, composition, and community writing groups. When not writing, she hikes, sews clothing and journals, goes to the theater, and explores nearby cities as a “local tourist.” She splits her time between New Jersey and Arizona, and is currently working for a New Jersey state legislator.
