The NJ Interagency Council on Climate Resilience asks: Has it Always Been This Hot in NJ? Join us on August 13, 2024 at 11 am as a panel of climate and weather experts discuss how and why NJ’s temperatures have changed over time and what we can expect moving forward. At this webinar you can expect to learn the impacts of this warming trend, the differences between weather and climate, the “Urban Heat Island effect,” and the impact to NJ’s overall warming and how to stay informed.
The panelists include:
- David Robinson, Distinguished Professor of Geography at Rutgers University and the New Jersey State Climatologist
- Jennifer Brady, Senior Data Analyst and Research Manager at Climate Central
- Sarah Johnson, Warning Coordination Meteorologist at the Mount Holly NJ Office of the National Weather Service
- Daniel Zarrow, Chief Meteorologist for New Jersey 101.5 FM
