The Hackettstown Free Public Library is 110 Years Old in 2023!
The Hackettstown Free Public Library was founded in 1913 by the Town Improvement Society, which later became the Woman’s Club of Hackettstown. It was founded as a “free” library, in contrast to paid or subscription libraries that existed at the time.

Celebrate With Us!
To celebrate, we are asking you to nominate your favorite books/movies during the months of September & October to help create a “Top 110” of each category. Our staff will also be contributing a few of their favorites as well. We will compile the lists and post on them social media and our website. The nomination forms will be available at the library shortly or you can fill out the form below and submit it. 25 people who submit nominations will receive a prize!

Don’t See Your Favorite in Our Collection? Gift It!
The Hackettstown Free Public Library is your library. If there is a movie or book that you love and we don’t have it in our collection, please think about gifting a copy to the library. Simply purchase it from your favorite online or brick-and-mortar bookstore/movie shop and we will add it to our collection. We will include a bookplate or sticker with your name stating that this was donated during the 110 Year Celebration! It’s a simple way to give back to your community!
